House cleaning and ironing by the hour in Rota

Two very different households use the same service in Rota. The one that wants three hours every Tuesday, and the family arriving on a two or three year tour who needs the house sorted in the first week. The practical difference shows up at the end, because the second one has a move-out inspection to pass.

Two households, one service

Most homes in Rota want the usual arrangement. Three or four hours on a fixed day each week, the same person every time, and ironing included inside those hours. That is set up in a single phone call.

The other half of the work here relates to the base. Families arrive on two or three year tours, almost always in summer, and need the house sorted in the first week, before they know anyone locally or have anybody to ask for a recommendation.

The move-out clean

At the end of a tour the property is inspected, and getting the deposit back depends on it. This is not a longer version of the weekly clean, it is a different job. The inspection looks at the inside of the oven, the air conditioning filters, the seals in the bathrooms, the blinds and the skirting boards, which are exactly the things routine cleaning never touches.

We quote it per property rather than per hour, because the inspection sets the scope. Book two to three weeks ahead: almost every departure of the year lands between June and July, and the dates fill up.

Summer changes everything

Rota has two peaks that overlap. Tour rotation from June to August, and beach season, which pulls the team towards holiday apartments. That makes July the worst month to call looking for something immediate.

If your tour ends in July, the useful conversation happens in April. Not to book you early for its own sake, but because in July the honest answer may be that we cannot take it on, and it is better to know that with time than to find out three days before the inspection.

Products and allergies

You can supply your own products or we bring ours, included in the price. If there is asthma, an allergy or someone on treatment in the house, we work without ammonia or bleach. Just say so on the first call. No explanation needed.

Outside the town centre

In Costa Ballena and the developments along the Chipiona road the service works the same way, but the hours are grouped into fewer, longer visits. Splitting four hours across two visits of two costs more without anyone gaining anything, because the travel is paid either way.

Questions we get in Rota

Do you work in English?

Yes. Part of the Rota team handles day to day English, and we issue quotes and contracts in both English and Spanish. If something needs to be exact, we put it in writing in both languages.

Do you do move-out cleans for the housing inspection?

Yes, and it is a separate service from the weekly hours. It is quoted per property rather than per hour, because the inspection sets the scope, not the clock. Book two to three weeks ahead, especially in June and July.

Can I book for just a month or two?

Yes. There is no minimum term. Plenty of families book around the move in, pause for a few months, and pick it up again at the end of the tour.

Is the cleaner properly employed?

Yes, on a contract and registered with Spanish social security. This is worth checking with any provider: if someone cleaning your house is not registered and is injured at work, the liability ends up with the householder.
